Painter – Water Color, Oils, and Photography

Having been an educator — English teacher and then librarian, Peace Corps volunteer — for 50 years I have had very little time for ART. I have always loved and appreciated art and visited various museums and galleries in my travel abroad as well as in the States.  Finally, in 2001, with my passion for art, I discovered that I might be able to create art!

Obviously, I am not a lifelong artist, but I have taken some classes and traveled to France various times to paint the beautiful and bright colors found there in the French countryside and seascapes, the flowers, and the still life we create.  I love to paint landscapes and flowers, especially sunflowers!  Since I retired in 2014, I have been painting on a more regular basis.

Mainly I paint in oil, but sometimes with acrylic and even watercolors and ink! I can lose myself in painting and I enjoy them all, but my true love is oil.
